Honestly, hating Israel is incredibly convenient.
No need to think. No need to be coherent. No need to care about facts.
Just throw in a catchy slogan and an Instagram account. It’s become a Pavlovian reflex. A social tic. A badge of moral virtue.
You can say Israel wants to “occupy Lebanon” or that a joint strike by Israel and the U.S. will trigger World War III.
And if nothing happens? Doesn’t matter.
Facts are optional.
You’ll still be invited back on TV as an “expert.”
You’ll hear Lebanese and Iranians say the real enemy is the Islamic Republic of Iran. Or the terror groups. But that’s not convenient. So we pretend they don’t exist.
Modern prophets don’t apologize. They celebrate themselves.
You can cheer a ceasefire while calling for those who enabled it to be prosecuted for war crimes.
And if the ceasefire fails?
Obviously, it’s Jerusalem’s fault.
If the Israeli army strikes a Hamas commander hiding under a hospital,
it’s a crime against humanity.
If they warn civilians, it’s psychological warfare.
If they don’t, it’s a massacre.
When Hamas stores weapons in schools,
it goes unnoticed.
When Israel builds bomb shelters,
it’s “technological supremacy” the Palestinians can’t access.
When Jews are murdered, we need “context.”
When Jews defend themselves, it’s “disproportionate.”
If someone calls for the destruction of Israel,
it’s not hate. It’s “legitimate anger.”
If a Jew dares to be upset,
they’re “weaponizing” their pain.
We no longer speak of antisemitism,
but of a “paralyzing umbrella.”
The idea being that Jews—magically—use their victimhood
to block all criticism.
Apparently, you can’t even hate Jews in peace anymore.
Israeli tears? Suspicious.
Their joy? Indecent. A sign of the malice.
When two young Jews are murdered in Washington,
people sigh: “They kind of had it coming… genocide… whatever…”
We accept that hostage-taking and rape can be explained away as a “response to despair.”
But if an Israeli says they’re afraid—just afraid—they’re accused of exploiting that fear.
And the best part?
You can say anything—and its opposite.
Feminist? Sure. Except for Israeli women.
Antiracist? Obviously. Just not for Jews.
Anti-colonial? Always.
Except when it’s the Islamic republic of Iran occupying Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen…
You’re never wrong.
Never have to explain.
You don’t even have to love Palestinians.
You just have to hate Israelis. It gives you status.
And a nice little psychological release.
Which, let’s face it, is really quite convenient.
